Acupuncture and mental disorders
Are you experiencing difficulties in your life and/or those around you, suffering and emotional distress?
Depression, stress and phobias are among the most frequent reasons for consulting traditional Chinese medicine. They are widespread throughout the world, affecting people of all ages.
How to regain or maintain good mental health
In a context of life accidents or stressful events induced by trying situations and existential difficulties (bereavement, relational or academic failure, social difficulties, etc.), reactive psychological distress can appear (fatigue, anxiety, depression, excessive stress and panic attacks, etc.). When this situation becomes intense and persistent, we must do everything we can to regain mental and emotional balance.

Fatigue
Fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, tiredness, lack of energy. All things that stops you from doing what you want. It can be because too much is draining you or not enough is nourishing you. We can help.
Insomnia
Insomnia can include any sleep disturbances, bad quality of sleep so waking up tired, shallow sleep so waking up during the night or short nights.
Anxiety, stress
Anxiety, excessive stress and panic attacks. This is like an attack from the inside of the mind on the person. We aim to calm it by strengthening what breaks and centering the mind amongst other things.
Depression
Depression or seasonal depression can have many causes. We know it doesn’t come only from the brain, but it can be the body, memories, lack of energy among other things.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
This disorder sometimes appears in childhood, but more often in adolescence or early adulthood. Onset may be gradual or rapid, following trauma or acute stress.
Post-traumatic stress
the disorder is due to exposure to a traumatic event that causes the individual fear, distress or horror.
The disorder is manifested by persistent “re-experiencing” of the traumatic event, avoidance behaviors, “stimuli” associated with the trauma, a blunting of general reactivity and a state of neurovegetative hyperactivity.
Treatment of mental and emotional illnesses with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine

Mental health is an essential component of health. It is “a state of well-being that enables people to realize their potential, cope with life’s normal difficulties, work successfully and productively, and be able to contribute to the community”.
Although traditional Chinese medicine does not claim to offer a definitive solution to these ailments, it does offer many original solutions.
Thanks to our knowledge of acupuncture’s physiopathological mechanisms, we can alleviate, or even ameliorate, the expressions of personality disorders without excluding them from their contexts.
Combinations with allopathy and sensitivo-cognitive therapies are still possible, and in no way interfere with needlework.
