Preparing for allergy season
The first signs of spring are a welcome sight, especially after a year spent indoors, but the change of season also means the arrival of an unwelcome visitor: spring allergies. For most of us, preparing for allergy season means stocking the medicine cabinet with nasal sprays and tissues. But what if the secret to allergy relief was in needles, not nasal sprays?
For some patients, acupuncture treatments can be enough to relieve uncomfortable allergy symptoms like sneezing and nasal congestion. For patients who have mild allergy symptoms or whose allergies are primarily seasonal, acupuncture has been shown to reduce their symptoms.
How acupuncture can improve allergy symptoms
During an acupuncture session, a licensed acupuncturist will apply several very thin needles into different areas of your skin called acupuncture points. Your body contains thousands of these acupuncture points, which are all thought to be connected to pathways in the body called meridians. Each meridian is associated with an organ or system in the body, and an acupuncturist will target points and meridians based on the health issue you’re seeking treatment for.

How did I cured my allergies naturally?
Acupuncture has become a respected alternative treatment for a whole range of medical problems. From anxiety to fibromyalgia to weight loss. There’s also evidence that it can help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life for allergy sufferers.
A few acupuncture sessions may be enough
For some people, a few acupuncture sessions may be enough to relieve allergy symptoms. For others, acupuncture allergy treatment requires weekly or twice-weekly appointments. And this for several weeks or months, depending on the severity of symptoms. This may be followed by annual booster treatments.
Acupuncture, a holistic approach
Some people with allergies who choose acupuncture are seeking alternatives to conventional treatment such as oral medications, nasal sprays, and immunotherapy. TCM can be characterized as holistic with emphasis on the integrity of the human body and the close relationship between human and its social and natural environment.
Treatment plan
We recommend several series of 3-4 treatments spaced 6 to 8 days apart. With an interval of 15 days to 3 weeks between each series (time trial). A reaction is usually observed around the third session. In some cases, results are spectacular from the very first session. Maintenance is often necessary in spring and autumn.
